ASOS Can't Keep This $12 Blemish Serum In Stock
It's been a little while since The Ordinary, a brand that sits under Toronto-based beauty company Deciem, changed the game by releasing a collection of affordable serums promising the same ingredients as their luxury counterparts. (We're talking $12 for a lactic acid-spiked formula.) Since then, the brand has gone from strength to strength, and now counts dozens of beauty editors and influencers as fans. It's not surprising then, that ASOS recently reported The Ordinary as one of their top ten best-sellers overall (they move approximately 320 units of product a day—a huge deal on a site better known for their fashion edit), and called out one serum in particular as a shopper favourite. The Ordinary's Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% formulation ($12) has been a hit from day dot, assumedly for its pigmentation-clearing and acne-fighting properties. Based on niacinamide (a form of vitamin B3 shown to "provide potent anti-inflammatory activity"), and zinc, a well-known skin-soother and antioxidant.
