The Olsen Twins Swear By This Under-The-Radar French Exfoliant
Confession: I've been unapologetically obsessed with Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen for what seems like forever. (A little perspective—it's been 24 long years since To Grandmother's House We Go came out on VHS.) From Mary-Kate's tousled boho waves to Ashley's sophisticated take on... just about everything, I've hung on the pair's every beauty look over the years. While there's no denying both lucked out in the good hair arena (no doubt the result of a spectacular gene pool—sister Elizabeth is further proof), I've always been especially infatuated with the twins' complexions. Perpetually clear and fresh, I can't recall ever seeing a photo of either with a breakout or redness on show. Today might just be the day I crack the code as to why.
Ashley and Mary-Kate are vocal fans of French skincare brand Biologique Recherche, and credit one product in particular from the range with keeping their faces glowy. The good news? It's now available in Australia via skin whisperer Melanie Grant's online store.

Introducing: Biologique Recherche's Lotion P50. This trio of "lotions", which are really liquid exfoliants/pH-balancing toners, are also beloved by Nicole Richie and Mandy Moore. (Rumour has it Brad Pitt is also a fan because, as it turns out, even the world's most handsome man doesn't #WakeUpLikeThis.) Of the three, P50 is the strongest formula, and P50 V and P50 W are targeted towards mature and sensitive skins respectively. Each is made with lactic acid, witch hazel and vitamins, and promises brighter, clearer skin with minimal effort. Sounds like the hallmark of an Olsen-approved skincare product to us.
Disclaimer: If you're big into scented skincare, keep scrolling. Fans will tell you this French exfoliant smells acrid and not terribly pleasant. Still, considering people refer to P50 as "Jesus in a bottle" we'd say nabbing an Olsen-like complexion is worth dealing with a less-than-phenomenal fragrance profile.
