Blow Off Your Christmas Shopping and Buy Yourself These Products Instead
It's true: Being a beauty writer means I'm one of the first to know about new launches long before they're public domain. Part of the fun is also being one of the first to try said launches so that I can then pass on the best tips and tricks to you. Here at Byrdie, I often compile a monthly round-up of all the best new products, but I'll admit I've been slack over the past couple of months, (hey, it's holiday season). So today, I've put together a 14-product strong edit of the best new products that really deserve a mention (and a place in your beauty lineup).
Also, because we're in the throes of summer (and 12 days out from Christmas, mind you), I've hand-picked every single product with the silly season in mind. So no matter how many holiday parties or swim-to-cocktail events are in your calendar, the below will see you're hydrated, protected, and glowing this December. Permission to spend your paycheck on this rather than those last minute Christmas gifts is granted.

111Skin Cyro Face Serum ($262)
This high-tech serum is designed to mimic the effects of cryotherapy in a bottle (for those who are wondering, cryotherapy is the practice of submitting the body to sub-freezing temperatures for health and skin benefits). In case you're curious, no, it doesn't feel cold on application, but it does leave skin plump, hydrated, and more even-toned in a seriously impressive way.
Avene Sunscreen Emulsion face 50+ ($27)
The French just get sunscreen. This weightless formula from Avene glides on smoothly, dries matte, and wears beautifully under makeup. The addition of the brands' iconic thermal spring water means it packs a serious hydration punch (minus the grease), too.
Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Color ($46)
If creamy lipsticks and sticky glosses just aren't working for you this summer, you need a lightweight stain that still delivers pigment. Bobbi Brown's latest formulation has a blotted effect that won't ball up or turn crunchy after a few Aperol's. We love Sunset for its punchy orange tones.
Zoeva Opulence Blush Palette ($25)
Don't be put off by the deep red or candy-hued orange—this Zoeva blush palette is actually the business. The orange looks fresh on lighter skins, while the deep red gives a healthy flush on olive complexions. Finish the look with a dusting of the matching highlighter. In a pinch, it makes for a great eye palette, too.
Nars Aqua-Infused Makeup Removing Water ($42)
It's not easy to pry the Bioderma micellar water from our hands, but this Nars water definitely came close. A litter thicker than most water-less cleansers, it glides over skin, taking with it every trace of makeup. Bonus points for the sleek packaging.
Biologi Bd Luminosity Face Serum ($98)
Biologi is a new brand that is the first of its kind. With only three products in the range, each contains one single plant active without the addition of any further ingredients (including water). The luminosity serum contains Davidson Plum due to its high concentration of antioxidants and vitamins that promise to leave skin brighter and more luminous.
