This $17 Metallic Liner Is Kim Kardashian’s Secret To Big, Beautiful Eyes
Leaving Kim Kardashian’s bleached brows aside for a moment (not to mention her husband’s grey-blue contacts), we were so pleased to see the beauty icon repping a soft, low-key makeup look at the Met Gala. Yes, it was the perfect complement to her dazzling gown and slick hair, but better than that, it was a look even eyeliner rookies (like us) can copy.
According to Allure, makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic skipped liquid eyeliner opting to layer brown and bronze shadows (from Sephora Collection’s Colorful 5 Eyeshadow Palette, $34, in Milk to Dark Chocolate) over her lids for dimension instead.

Next, Dedivanovic placed a shimmery bronze pencil in the waterline allowing him to add definition without the harshness of black kohl. The last—and most clever step—involved swiping a silver liner (Sephora Collection's Retract Waterproof Eyeliner, $17, in Bronze Shimmer) along the waterline too, but only at the inner corners. "I only use eyeliner in the inner part of the eyes because not only does it open up the eyes, but it gives the eyes beautiful depth," Dedivanovic says. Also? It makes eyes look bigger, in much the same way as pale beige liner does. That's us converted.
