Reviewed: Julep Oxygen Nail Treatment
I’m a bare nail kind of girl. After years of maintaining perfectly polished fingertips, I finally threw in the towel and decided I was just going to be one of those chic women with impeccably groomed (polish-free) nails (that’s a thing, right?). These days, it takes a lot for me to put colour on my nails, but I do love a coat of a good nail-perfecting treatment. Julep’s Oxygen Nail Treatment ($18) with its sheer tint is right up my alley. It’s supposed to revive thin, weak nails, making them less prone to breakage and splitting, all the while allowing nails to breathe (that’s the oxygen part). I like the idea of nail strengtheners, but it in all honesty, I’ve never really thought they did much—at least I’d never seen a noticeable difference in my nails after using one. I can't say this experience was too much different. My nails certainly look and feel great, but they weren't in bad shape to begin with either. Nonetheless, I wear it all the time. I love the thin veil of colour it gives my nails—I prefer the pink shade, but I also layer the white one under it (when I'm feeling crazy).
Have you tried this nail treatment? Do you have a favourite nail strengthener?
