Here Are All the Products Used to Create J.Lo's Golden Globes Look
We're definitely in the month of JENuary, people. Despite an intense filming schedule for her new show, Shades of Blue, and the final season of American Idol, as well as preparations for her Las Vegas residency, Jennifer Lopez has still managed to look stunning at each of her recent appearances, especially at the Golden Globes. Makeup artist Mary Phillips said that the inspiration behind J.Lo's flawless makeup (done fully in L'Oréal products) was her jaw-dropping mustard-yellow Giambattista Valli dress: "Her skin and that lip colour are the hallmarks of this look. It’s very elegant, gorgeous, and beautiful while still being very modern and today. We’re always experimenting with her looks, and I think that tonight perfectly reflects that with this classic, old-school dose of beauty."

L'Oréal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation ($0)
Phillips created a "natural 3D effect" by layering sheer colours of L'Oréal True Match Lumi Cushion foundation, using shades C5.5 Natural Tan, 5.5 Perfect Beige, and W3 Nude Beige. [The brand's Nude Magique Eau de Teint Foundation ($12) is a sold dupe.]
To achieve those razor-sharp cheekbones, Phillips dusted the Infallible Pro Contour Palette in 814 Medium along the jawline, underneath the cheekbones, on the temples and hairline, as well as along the nose. For that J.Lo glow, she swiped the highlighter hue below the browbone, on the center of the forehead, on the nose, and just above the jawline.
Phillips drew a very thin line using the Infallible Black Velvet Eye Liner on the top lashes only, broadening the line along the outer corner of the eye and being careful not the create too much of a wing so it wouldn't feel too "costumey" with the rest of the look. To tie everything together, she followed up with Infallible Matte-Matic Liner on the upper and lower lashlines, working the liner between the lashes to add drama in an "un-heavy” way. [Try the brand's SuperLiner Perfect Slim ($24) for a similar look.]
Because the lips were the focal point of this look, Phillips wanted to keep the lashes understated. To do this, she primed and coated them with L'Oréal Voluminous Superstar Mascara.
L'Oréal Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss ($0)
Those lips! To create a "dark but not vampy" look, Phillips combined three different shades of gloss to achieve J.Lo's perfect red pout. She began with Forbidden Kiss on the outside of the mouth, then worked her way in with Rouge Envy, followed by Nude Allude. This way, the lips had more dimension and fullness. [The brand's Infallible Long Wear Lip Gloss ($22) in Alert Rouge delivers a similar look.]
