This Otherwordly Makeup Trend Is Taking Over Pinterest

If there's one thing we love, it's an underground Pinterest makeup trend. (Also? Anything starring Nico Tortorella.) While there are currently more than a few predictions for what will rock our collective socks this year, more and more beauty bloggers are forecasting the rise of a surprising movement—holographic makeup. Gorgeous and otherworldly, this light-catching trend resurfaced last year with a crazy-popular nail polish, then progressed to iridescent rainbow lips. (About the same time Too Faced's La Crème Colour Drenched Lipstick in Unicorn Tears, $31, first hit shelves.) Now? The '90s-inspired look has grown into a legit craze, touching eyes and cheeks. The market has responded with incredible new products from MAC's Strobe Cream shade extensions ($55) to Zoeva's upcoming holographic highlighter palette and more. If these launches are anything to go by, holographic beauty is about to hit the mainstream.
