The Newest Fenty Beauty Launch Is a Universally Flattering Red "Lip Paint"

Kaitlyn McLintock

Fenty Beauty is one of the buzziest makeup brands of the moment. It has been ever since it's official launch a couple of months back. We think it's so popular for two reasons. The first is the most obvious; it's backed by the queen of cool herself, Rihanna. She's super stylish, multi-talented, and kind of untouchable, but somehow still relatable (yeah, we don't understand how that works, either). The second reason is because of the products themselves. They're inclusive, effective, and super chic. Just look to the Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter  or the 40 shades of her Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation for proof.

Today, she announced the newest product coming to Fenty Beauty—a liquid lipstick (this comes on the heels of her Fenty Beauty Holiday Collection reveal just a couple of weeks earlier).  From glamorous gold packaging to the ruby red lip colour found inside, it's truly stunning. Keep scrolling to get a sneak peek at Rihanna's newest product.

Rihanna posted this image to Instagram, captioning it "get your lips ready #STUNNA LIP PAINT is coming!!" She also revealed the official launch date: November 23rd. If the rest of the Fenty launches have been anything to go buy, Australia can expect the same date (!!!). We can't wait. Seriously, how gorgeous does this lip paint look? We think it's totally deserving of the "Stunna" name. From the looks of it, it will be a long-wearing liquid or gel lipstick formula with a slightly golden undertone. It's unclear if this is the only shade or not, but we're happy either way, since it's the perfect holiday red.

If you think this colour looks familiar, you're not alone. We have a suspicion that it's the very same red shade she wore on the red carpet at the European premiere of Valerian. After all, it has the same ruby red hue.

Keeping with Fenty Beauty's theme of inclusiveness and diversity, the brand also posted the image along with the hashtag One Red For All, which we think means it was created with every unique skin tone in mind. If so, that's really cool, seeing as red lipstick can be a tough beauty product to buy for some people. Finding the perfect shade that flatters our skin tone and makes us feel confident isn't exactly easy—there are just so many factors, like warm vs. cool undertones, varying degrees of brightness, and different finishes. Because of this, we're really excited to see if Rihanna's red lip is truly universal.

Remember to set a reminder on your phone, because the Stunna Lip Paint debuts on November 23rd on the Fenty Beauty website and Sephora. There's no word yet on the retail price, but we're guessing it will be well worth the colour pay-off.
