Skincare Professionals Share Their Tricks To A Flawless Complexion
If you've ever looked at your facialist or derm pre-treatment and thought, "If I could just get a look at what *you* do with your skin, I'd be golden", you're not alone. We spend much time pondering (and straight-up asking) skin experts what they use, how they use it, and why. Hence, our ears pricked up when this video from Woman's Day popped into our feeds via The Huffington Post Australia.
The video rounds up a few basic-but-important tips from skincare professionals (think: remembering to drink adequate water and using targeted serums) but there are also a few tricks in the mix you may not have on lock.

Dr Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Triple Correction Eye Serum ($105)
Most of us refrain from purposely tugging on our skin, but any movement that causes your skin to temporarily "wrinkle" can cause damage later on down the track. (This is why many experts recommend sleeping on your back.) Stick to tapping on eye products as well as patting on serums and creams instead of vigorously rubbing them in.
Algenist Multi-Perfecting Detoxifying Exfoliator ($52)
Using a combination of AHAs and BHAs can do wonders for your complexion, as each type of exfoliant affects a different layer of the skin. AHAs dissolve the "glue" that holds on surface stuff, making them a good treatment for flakiness or dryness. BHAs get right down into the pores for a deep cleanse so they're better at banishing spots.
We know coffee dehydrates our skin but that doesn't stop us from ordering an extra-strong latte when we're low on energy. Skin professionals recommend downing an extra glass of water after every serve of coffee to combat the drying effects.
