Stop Everything—Victoria Beckham’s Makeup Line is Finally Here
Just when you thought today couldn't get any more exciting (#FriYAY), Victoria Beckham's has launched her much-anticipated makeup line. The fashion icon has been teasing her collaboration with Estée Lauder for months now, even dropping a video tutorial on how she uses her own products. The 14-piece capsule collection is inspired by Beckham's lifelong fondness for makeup, as well as the cities she loves most, and BOY it is good. When I was invited to preview the range weeks ago I squealed over everything. Every single item is mint—scout's honour. Estée Lauder's brand manager told us VB sent the line's Brazilian Nude Lipstick back 27 times for reformulation until the shade was perfect. That's the level of excellence we're talking about here. That said, I've had time to get acquainted with the collection and I have favourites.
Take a peek at them below.
Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Bronzer in Java Sun ($105)
I've always been envious of VB's cheekbones which is why you'll see a healthy number of sculpting products in my edit. This bronzer is up-there with the best of the best, and is my new go-to for everyday. Matte but luminous, it magically transforms skin into a glowier version of its former self. Even on my fair skin it's natural-looking—no obvious orange undertones here.
Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Highlighter in Modern Mercury ($105)
If you're all about faking a supermodel-esque bone structure, you need this in your life. Formerly released as a limited-edition Estée Lauder highlighter, Victoria loved it so much she included it in her line to bring it back into production. The formula is top notch, a creamy powder that melts into skin leaving a light-catching luminosity wherever you place it. The shade is another stroke of genius—a gorgeous rose gold that adds warmth to any skin tone.
Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Lip Pencil in Victoria ($48)
Show me someone who hasn't googled "Which nude lipstick does Victoria Beckham wear" and I'll show your a liar. (That, or someone who needs to get their priorities in order.) The line includes the aforementioned Brazilian Nude Lipstick, but if you ask me, this liner (in VB's signature matte nude) is an underdog. It's so creamy you don't need lipstick on top, and it wears REALLY well. Plus, as with any lip liner, you get a more precise application than with lipstick. Wear it as is, or add balm on top for a glossy finish.
Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Eye Palette ($150)
Leave it to Beckham to show the world how to wear colour with ease. This palette looks, at first glance, to be potentially just for special occasions in that it includes some COLOUR. In actuality, each of the bright shades can be buffed into an understated sheer wash as well as being layered up. The three neutrals need no explaining—they're hues you'll wear day-in, day-out.
Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Morning Aura Illuminating Crème ($150)
This stuff is so life-changing, I'm already thinking about how I'll cope when it sells out. Part lightweight moisturiser, part brightening primer, it contains micro-pearls that instantly brighten skin without looking shimmery. Essentially, it's 8 hours in a bottle. I will be SHOCKED if it doesn't sell out immediately.
The Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder collection is now available for a limited time only. Our advice? Run, don't walk.
