One of the World’s Most-Travelled Bloggers Reveals Her Beauty Routine
The homegrown style icon—who has collaborated with brands including Chanel, Net-a-Porter and Valentino—spends most her time traversing the globe and looking flawless while doing it, producing images and stories for her digital fashion destination, Gary Pepper Girl. If anyone knows how to save face (and skin), it’s Nicole.
Speaking to The Huffington Post Australia, the seemingly luminous jetsetter shared her top tips for keeping skin healthy while on the road (or in the air).
Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise!
“As soon as I get on the plane, I remove my makeup and give my skin a proper cleanse—makeup and flying do not mix,” explains Nicole. “My secret weapon for fighting dehydration is Kiehl’s Recovery Concentrate.”
Nicole also keeps on top of hydration from the inside out, by avoiding alcohol and upping her water intake during the flight.
Stick to Routine
No matter where she travels, Nicole knows what works for her and makes sure she works it into her sometimes-crazy schedule.
“When I land, a hot shower is a non-negotiable,” she insists. “I exfoliate all over to get the blood circulation going. Then it’s straight to emails, and try to apply a cloth mask.”
Warne also squeezes-in quick yoga sessions in any place she can (a“quiet corner of an airport lounge” is a favourite) to alleviate back pain caused by long flights.
Know What Works
With one of the most recognisable faces in fashion, Nicole knows she needs to keep her signature look and no amount of time changes can mess with what makes her, her. Counting Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ($92) and Sheer Finish Illuminator, Lancome Grandiose Mascara ($54) and Tom Ford Lipstick in Scarlet Rouge as must-haves to keep up her signature beauty look while abroad, Warne knows exactly what has to make it into her bag.
“I also love cloth masks and wear SPF 50+ sunscreen every day—I never travel without them,” she adds.
