“Right now, there are these temporary tattoos called Flash Tattoos,” Kay says. “I’m obsessed! They come in gold and silver metallic patterns that you can cut down and use on your nails.” She says to apply them to your nails as you would to your skin—just place it on your nail, put a wet cloth on top, wait a few seconds, then remove. “It’s nail art in seconds—so easy!” she says.
“I think textured nails are still trending during the summer, but in the warmer months I like to keep it simple and only do one or two fingers on each hand,” Kay says. “That way, it’s not overdone or too heavy.” She recommends Ciaté’s line of simple DIY kits—the Shell Manicure ($25) is perfect for summer!
