A 5-Step Tutorial for the Trend Everyone Is Wearing: Slicked-Back Hair
From the runway to the red carpet, the slicked-back hair trend has taken off. Which is great for supermodels and celebrities, but what about the rest of us—can “normal” folks translate the look for everyday? Yes indeed, says our resident hair guru Jen Atkin, who showed us how to pull off the trend work in real life.

Smooth a small amount of hair oil—we’re using Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil ($49) from Oribe—through your hair to tame flyways and add shine. Just don’t make it too perfect. The look is sleek, but it should still look like hair.
You can finish the look with a fine mist of hairspray if you need a little more hold, and then your slicked-back look is complete!
