Are You Making This Simple Eyebrow Mistake?
If you're like us, applying moisturiser is pretty much a free-for-all. Especially when we're battling dry skin, we often tend to apply it all over our face in no particular fashion (unless we're feeling fancy enough to tackle Kylie Jenner's moisturiser brush method). Turns out, though, that letting our trusted moisturiser seep into our brows has been secretly sabotaging them this entire time, PopSugar recently reported.
Why is this, you ask? According to celebrity brow expert Sania Vucetaj, moisturisers, gels, sunscreens, and foundations cause hairs to fall out and prevent future brow growth. Yikes! Who knew this was happening all along?
We felt as though we'd been duped by our facial products after reading this, so we sought advice from "The BrowGal" Tonya Crooks (she touts celeb clients like Megan Fox and Molly Sims), who slightly disagrees: She says in terms of the high-powered facial creams out there, you'd need to take them on a case-by-case basis depending on their ingredients, and that foundation is actually safe to use on the brow area (phew!).
Wondering about those brow serums and conditioners, then? Crooks says they should be the first and only thing placed on brow hairs so that they can truly be effective.
Psst! We recommend trying out Billion Dollar Brows' Brow Boost Enhancing Serum ($42) for full, lush brows.
