Could You Handle the Restrictive Diet Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Swears By?
It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that if, just maybe, you had the money—and private chef—of a celebrity you too could look like one. (Especially when they say things like: "I eat whatever I want!" and "The only workout I do is walking my dog.") We won't pretend that some genetically-blessed humans aren't able to follow a relaxed diet and exercise plan and still look incredibly fit, but the fact is most of us can't. Even Rosie Huntington-Whiteley admits she follows a rather restrictive diet plan in order to look and feel her best.
The model told InStyle she has recently adopted a way of eating recommended by a naturopathic doctor (Dr. Nigma Talib—also loved by Kate Bosworth and Penelope Cruz FYI), that focuses on creating flawless skin via a healthy gut. The diet in question is no joke; it excludes sugar, dairy, gluten and alcohol. Sound challenging? RHW agrees: "I'm not going to lie, it's been brutal. It's been a really big challenge."
Dr. Talib's plan promises a "healthy skin regimen" that balances hormones, quells irritation and maintains proper digestion. All important for the body, but also the face (hence, the title of the book.) For her part, Huntington-Whiteley says that although the new plan makes her feel "fantastic", it's not something she's looking to follow long-term. "I definitely will be reintroducing some cakes, and some cheese, and some wine here and there." How's that for refreshing?
