The Top 4 Items We're Buying From Make Beauty's Australian Launch
I remember a time, not that long ago actually, when the majority of international beauty brands were straight up impossible to get your hands on in Australia. For every Nars and Origins (even then available at Mecca Cosmetica), there was a Beautyblender or Caudalie—international ranges not yet shoppable from our shores. (Both are now, happily, ranged at Sephora.) These days, Aussies are pretty spoilt for choice. There aren't many collections we don't have access to Down Under. That said, there are still a few lines remaining on my own personal wish list. Top of the docket, until very recently, was Make Beauty. A proponent of "slow beauty", the NY-based makeup brand is all about personal experimentation. Best known for high-end products with a cool-girl edge, everything in the range is multi-functional and user-friendly. Sounds good? It gets better, because as of tomorrow the cult beauty brand will finally be available locally, all thanks to Net-A-Porter. To celebrate, we're listing the top 4 items we'll be buying from Make Beauty's Australian launch.

Make Beauty The Universal Stick in Cedar
This insanely clever lip and cheek stain is made with colour-changing pigments that get more intense the more you massage them into your skin. In the tube, it looks mauve, but on application the formula transforms first into a sheer blush, then (with a little more rubbing) into a sun-kissed glow.
Make Beauty Custom Finish Effects Matte/Dew
If you're the type to add a dab of illuminser to matte foundation for glow on a whim, or layer powder over satin lipstick to create a flat effect, you'll love this compact. Containing both a mattifier and face gloss, apply either formula over the top of anything (from foundation to eyeshadow), to tweak the finish.
Make Beauty Super Matte Lip Pencil
A similar concept to the above product, in that it's designed to cancel out the shine in any lip colour, this pencil effectively doubles your lipstick wardobe.
Make Beauty Matte Lipstick in Scarlet
Made with hydrating ingredients like squalane and sunflower seed oil, this matte lipstick doesn't dry out lips or flake off. Packed with pigment, you only need a single swipe for maximum colour payoff—seriously. It comes in 10 shades, but our favourite is this punchy blue-based red.
Make Beauty launches into Net-A-Porter on the Wednesday 5th of April, and will be priced from $41.
