So far 2016 has broken some serious beauty-related ground in the transgender community. Andreja Pejic was named model of the year and scored her first magazine cover as a woman, Gucci cast 23-year-old Hari Nef as their first-ever transgender model, and now MAC has combined forces with Caitlyn Jenner. The news of a limited-edition lipstick ($36) called Finally Free was revealed yesterday on both the brand’s and Jenner’s Instagram feeds.
An official statement released by MAC reads, “Caitlyn Jenner has fearlessly shared her transition with the world. Her new M·A·C Lipstick, Finally Free, champions All Ages, All Races and All Sexes. 100% of the selling price goes to the M·A·C AIDS Fund Transgender Initiative, to further its work in support of transgender communities. Available in April in select markets.”
