You HAVE to See Inside Lorna Jane's Fridge
We’ve heard it time and time again—preparation is key to success if you’re trying to live a healthy lifestyle. For proof, behold the ease with which you’re able to avoid the siren song of takeaway when you’ve pre-cooked dinner. Lorna Jane Clarkson, author, businesswoman and all-round fitness guru, recently penned a post for Mindbodygreen in which she details her personal fridge organisation process, calling it “as important to my routine as brushing my teeth”. As expected, her tips are crazy-good, but my gosh, you HAVE to see the inside of her fridge—it's an organisational and fitspo dream.
Keep scrolling to discover what Clarkson keeps in her fridge for a healthy week of meals.
"I keep ready-to-eat berries and grapes that I can add to yoghurt, and a selection of sprouts for an extra nutrient hit. On that same shelf, I keep condiments such as homemade pesto and other dressings. They're great to have handy to add flavour to my meals." Second shelf: Greens and avocados. "On the second shelf, I keep dinner ingredients for the week such as mixed greens, spinach, and avocado."
For mix-and-match food storage we like these clip containers ($16) from Kmart.
"These are great for a natural energy boost in the morning (or afternoon) and are perfect for those times when you need a little extra pick-me-up." Click here for the ingredients Clarkson includes in her grab-and-go drinks.
"I keep small plastic bags of portioned berries, sprouts and purple cabbage to add to fresh salads. Having food portioned out in advance, makes my morning routine that extra little bit easier."
Fourth shelf: Pre-made dinners.
"This week, there's poached chicken, turkey mince, and frittata and turkey patties. There is also a broccoli soup that is defrosting from the freezer."
