This Actress Just Revealed Her Cellulite on a Magazine Cover
Could 2017 be the year when unfiltered beauty becomes the new norm? It's already looking that way, at least if Glamour has anything to do with it. The magazine just revealed its February cover, which features the cast of Girls ahead of their final season—and more specifically, Lena Dunham's unretouched thighs.
It's just the leading image of an issue that champions women—in fact, only female staffers worked on its publication from start to finish. The groundbreaking cover certainly emphasises that MO, starting with the fact that showing cellulite on a major fashion magazine is, well, groundbreaking. Isn't that ironic since more than 90% of women have cellulite?
Needless to say, the internet is applauding the mag's move, including Dunham herself. "Thank you to Glamour for letting my cellulite do the damn thing on newsstands everywhere today," she said in a touching Instagram post, expressing hope that one day, embracing one's natural beauty won't be considered "brave," but normal.
