Lara Worthington Is Endorsing the #1 Makeup Trend of 2017
If you missed Lara Worthington's recent blink-and-you'll-miss-it trip home to attend the David Jones Autumn Winter launch, you won't have seen her out and about endorsing the #1 makeup trend of 2017. As professional beauty stalkers, we DID happen to notice the beauty icon repping this year's version of glowy skin and dreamy flushed lips, and immediately reached out in the hope Lara would share the products used on the night. Not only did she tell us how this radiant makeup look was created step-by-step, the beauty guru also revealed her inspiration for the night. "I wanted to create a softer, more feminine look," she told us. Lara also walked us through her makeup prep skincare routine, the star of which is a one-minute refining treatment she calls "a welcome friend". (More on that below.) When we asked if there was one element of her look she loved in particular, Lara referenced her simple but chic ponytail. "[My favourite thing was] that my hair was tied back, I’m a hair flicker!," she told us.

"My makeup look for the night was uncomplicated (as it is in general), but I do invest in my skin so it can act as a blank canvas. I was not long off a long-haul flight from NYC to Sydney when I began getting ready so my skin needed a little TLC. I prepped it with Dior's DreamSkin 1-Minute Mask ($110) which leaves my skin glowing and has been a very welcome friend in my beauty cabinet! After removing this I spritzed my face with Sodashi's Calming Rose Mist ($77), a really soothing, hydrating and healing mist."
"Next it was all about the base. (Literally!) I applied The Base LB Cream ($26) in Caramel. It's a multipurpose formula that provides the perfect amount of coverage, moisturises, evens skin tone, and also has SPF for sun protection. For any imperfections, my go-to is Kevyn Aucoin's The Sensual Skin Enhancer ($61). It's a dream product; a high performance concealer and highlighter in one. I used this under my eyes and around the nose."
"With the base completed, it was onto the eyes. I like a natural look so I defined my brows with Chantecaille's Full Brow Perfecting Gel ($58) in Clear. This product has growth-boosting properties, doesn't leave sticky residue, and holds brows perfectly in place all day and night. I curled my eyelashes and applied one coat of RMS' Volumizing Mascara ($40), a lightweight product made with 100% natural ingredients."
"To define my cheeks I used The Base's Lip to Cheek ($24) in Peach. It is the perfect pinky-peachy tone and suits most complexions."
"Lips were natural but enhanced with Dior's Lip Glow ($49) in 001. This innovative lip balm is super-hydrating and also enhances the natural pigment of your lips. I carry this with me everywhere."
