This Makeup Remover Will Change Your Life (Zero Exaggeration)
When cleansing water first hit the market, I admit that I was a little confused. Is it a cleanser? A toner? Makeup remover? Seemed like a lot of extra work (Remove makeup, then pre-cleanse, and then actually cleanse? No thanks.).
Then, Koh Gen Do took their Cleansing Spa Water ($39) and put what I have discovered to be a hybrid product into a convenient cloth form. I’m strictly a towelette girl when it comes to makeup removal (the idea of saturating a tiny cotton ball in anything, then wiping it across my face doesn’t seem very time-efficient to me). So I decided to try Koh Gen Do’s Cleansing Spa Water Cloths ($39 for three packs of 10), and I was hooked after the first use. These cleansing cloths make all other forms of makeup removal obsolete. Seriously—I’ve never been able to get my face as clean and makeup-free as I do with these. With just one swipe, I could see all evidence of the day wiped away onto the towelette. You know how no matter how hard you try to get every last bit of liner and mascara, traces of your eye makeup always appear on the towel when your dry off? Not anymore. I’ve literally never seen so much black show up on a makeup removing wipe.
Although pricier than I typically care to spend on makeup remover, I’m never going back to any of my old standbys. Other products leave a film or slimy feeling behind that I always assumed was just a given with makeup removers—not so with these. After using a cleansing water cloth, my face actually feels clean, like post-double-cleansing clean. Koh Gen Do’s Spa Cleansing Water Cloths have converted me to the cleansing-water way of life/makeup removal.
