Kendall Jenner’s Terrifying Sleep Condition Is the Stuff of Nightmares
At just 21-years-old, there's no denying Kendall Jenner is a busy young woman. Her day job involves gracing an endless array of magazine covers, stalking runways for the likes of Chanel, Alexander Wang and Marc Jacobs, and collaborating on Kendall + Kylie. She's also the face of beauty mega brand Estée Lauder, which is, as they say, kind of a big deal. Keeping so many balls in the air at such a young age is admirable, and Jenner certainly makes it look effortless. However, in a new clip for an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Jenner reveals that her gruelling schedule is responsible for a terrifying condition she's kept under wraps 'til now—sleep paralysis.
In the video, presumably filmed several months ago, Jenner discusses her fashion month schedule with mum and manager Kris Jenner. After running through her jam-packed itinerary (Paris, Milan, London), she says: "I don't know if I'm going to be able to do that. I can't travel that much." Jenner then goes on to explain that sleep paralysis causes her intense anxiety around flying. "I'm scared to fall asleep because it keeps happening to me," she says. Kris also speaks directly to camera, an explains how the condition negatively affects Jenner's career: "Kendall basically lives on an airplane, so the anxiety on an airplane and the sleep paralysis is a huge problem." Considering Kenny only made it to New York and Paris, we'd say it's pretty likely sleep paralysis was behind her reduced schedule. Considering millions of people live with the terrifying condition, Jenner's honesty around the subject can only be a good thing in terms of awareness. We'll be waiting to see which avenues she pursues to treat it, and hope she gets a good night's rest soon.
