True Story: Kendall Jenner Stares at a Wall to Suppress Her Appetite
We can’t help but admit that we are intrigued by all things Kendall Jenner. From her perfectly tousled waves to her covetable wardrobe to her workout secrets, we just can’t get enough of the 21-year old Victoria Secret model. That’s why we were all the more intrigued when we found out Jenner had a rather unconventional diet tip up her sleeve.
On January 5, Jenner posted a story to her app titled, “The Story Behind My Pink Wall.” In the post of note, Jenner reveals the reason behind painting her wall “Baker-Miller Pink.” Being that the colour looks absolutely gorgeous in her living room, it was surprising to find that the shade wasn’t chosen for interior design purposes but rather for the colour’s calming, and get this—appetite suppressant properties. See Jenner's apartment refresh below.
Jenner says, “Baker-Miller Pink is the only colour scientifically proven to calm you AND suppress your appetite. I was like, ‘I NEED this colour in my house!’ I then found someone to paint the room and now I’m loving it!'”
While staring at a wall to lose lbs sounds a bit too good to be true, there is some truth to Jenner’s claim. In the 1970’s Baker-Miller Pink, also know as Drunk Tank Pink, was found to have a calming effect on prisoners, and in the 1980’s John Hopkins researchers believed this shade of pink might also work as an anti-suppressant.
So there you have it, a diet tip with an interior design twist.
