In addition to brightening up your skin, vitamin C is also a helpful tool for fixing colour blunders. If your experiment with a brand new hair colour turns out completely wrong and the double-washing didn’t quite do it for you, use vitamin C to remove the evidence and lift the colour one or two shades lighter. Mix three or four crushed vitamin C tablets with a clarifying shampoo, and apply to damp hair like a mask. Leave it on for about 30 minutes before rinsing, shampooing, and conditioning hair as usual.
