FYI, Gwyneth Paltrow Loves This Local Non-Toxic Beauty Brand
People may think she's kooky or "out-of-touch", but Gwyneth Paltrow truly is my spirit animal. From her enthusiasm for about a billion different alternative health practices (see: Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine), to an endless love for kale, I'm pretty much always on board with whatever new thing she's doing. (I do draw the line at vaginal steaming, but hey, that's just me.) One thing I live for in particular is a Goop-approved beauty product. We've talked a lot about Gwyneth's devotion to non-toxic brands and living, detailing her morning skincare routine, glow-boosting secrets and even the foods she eats for a better complexion. To say I've taken it all on board is an understatement. Gwynnie is the reason I can't go a week without bone broth. So when I discovered Goop had recommended a favourite local brand's 100% natural, detoxifying, high-vibe face mask, I wondered: "Is this the one product that will grant me a similarly glowy visage?" And guys, I'm pretty convinced it is.
The product in question is none other than Sodashi's Brightening Marine Mineral Mask ($110), and if you're familiar with Sodashi, Gwyneth's stamp of approval will make perfect sense. The brand is the brainchild of New Zealand-born Megan Larsen, a woman with "a unique background in aesthetics, aromatherapy, Ayurveda, Transcendental Meditation, biochemistry and natural healthcare". Sounds right up Gwynnie's alley, right? Having tried many of the brand's products in the past (all phenomenal, trust me), I'm more than happy to take Goop's endorsement on this high-vibe mask to heart. In fact, I'm calling it out as the only detox your party-worn skin needs this month.
