Cherry lips, coy side eye—Taylor Swift arrived at the Grammys with her signature look, albeit with one major change: a sleek, short bob with bangs.

Gomez arrived with her long strands in Old Hollywood–style curls and the perfect cut-crease eye makeup.

Zendaya, never one to shy away from a bold hairstyle, arrived with a choppy, slightly mullet-shaped cut—and, because she’s Zendaya, managed to pull it off with aplomb.

Hairstylist (and Byrdie contributor) Mark Townsend created this "bone-straight moment with tons of shine" by smoothing Dove's Regenerative Nourishment Serum-in-Oil ($6) in her damp strands to smooth the cuticle. 

Ciara was the epitome of understated elegance with a soft smoky eye and perfect nude lip. 

It's hard to compete with a bejeweled septum piercing, but Tove Lo's metallic rust-colored cat eye did just that. 

Underwood's lob was smoothed back with lots of volume at the crown, and her signature smoky eye–nude lip combo completed the look.

We're fans of Adele's low-key textured lob, cat eye, and glowing skin. Makeup artist Michael Ashton used Giorgio Armani's new Maestro Glow Foundation ($64) in Shade 2 to create a candlelit base, and the brand's Maestro Liquid Liner ($36) to trace a perfectly flicked line. 

The best way to rock a black-and-white striped headpiece? With two thick Dutch braids, as Janelle Monáe proved.

We're fans of Lovato's sleek and understated look, complete with candlelit skin and hyper-sculpted brows. 

Gaga rocked rhinestone-dotted eyelid, ombré blue eye shadow, and shock of red hair—all in tribute to the late and great David Bowie.

What's the best complement for multi-tiered diamond earrings? An expertly flicked cat eye and pinkish nude lip, obviously. Makeup artist Vanessa Scali applied Elizabeth Arden's Beautiful Color Smoky Eyes Pencil in Smoky Black ($19) in the inner corner of Kendrick's eye and blended it across the lash line to emphasize and elongate the cat eye. 

We can't stop staring at Alessandra Ambrosio's mesmerizing sea-blue eye shadow. 

Ari opted for her signature sky-high pony, complete with sultry smoky eye shadow and statement diamond earrings.
