Georgia Love Just Told Us the Secret to Her Glowy Skin
If you're a big fan of dating shows that specifically feature red roses (you know the ones), you could be forgiven for thinking that Georgia Love's perpetually radiant complexion is the result of expert makeup and light trickery, and nothing more. While that is sometimes the case in TV land (it's truly mindblowing what professional styling can do), when it comes to Love, you'll find that her glow translates off screen too. It makes perfect sense then, that Palmer's Australia recently named the budding beauty icon as its new ambassador. A long-time fan of the wallet-friendly brand, Love says she's used everybody's favourite drugstore body lotion, Cocoa Butter Lotion With Vitamin E ($2), for "years and years". (Us too.) To celebrate her appointment, we sat down with Love to quiz her on everything from her easy morning skincare routine, to the best backstage beauty tip she's picked up so far.

Byrdie Australia: Walk us through your morning skincare routine.
Georgia Love: First thing I do every morning is cleanse. I use Palmer’s Ultra Gentle Facial Cleansing Oil ($15). If you've never used an oil cleanser you must try it—I use it at night too because it is so good at removing makeup. It leaves your skin feeling clean but moisturised, and not at all oily. Then I apply a serum ($20) to give my skin a dewy glow. And of course a moisturiser with SPF ($15) before makeup. Day-to-day I'm loving Curtis Collection's CC Cream ($55), MAC's Select Cover-Up Concealer ($34), and a light brushing of both MAC's Mineralize loose powder ($56) and Curtis Collection's bronzer ($50). For a blush, I like Nars Orgasm ($44). I finish it all off with a slick of Lancôme Hypnose Mascara ($52).
B: What’s the one skincare product you can’t live without?
GL: Moisturiser. I can go days without using makeup or hair products but my skin craves moisture no matter where I am. I feel so much better when my skin is soft.
B: How does your skincare routine change when you travel?
GL: Not too drastically, I like to keep up with my routine so my skin doesn't freak out. I buy travel sizes of what I can, and in other cases I buy little plastic bottles from the supermarket to put a small amount of my products in.
B: Name your three favourite hair products.
Palmer's has a great Coconut Oil Deep Conditioning Protein Pack [in store this month] that gives your hair an added moisture boost when it's feeling a bit lacklustre. I also love its Coconut Oil Dry Oil Mist [also in store this month] because it takes away frizz without making my hair oily. And, of course, as someone with naturally curly hair I could not live without my Ghd hair straightener ($190).
B: What’s your current signature scent?
GL: Chloé Roses De Chloé ($150). It's such a beautiful feminine scent and, despite the name, it's not too floral or overpowering.
B: What’s the best beauty tip you’ve picked up from being on TV?
GL: I've finally learnt how to properly curl my own hair, after watching others do it for me. It sounds ironic, as I have naturally curly hair which I straighten and then curl, but I love the big soft waves hairdressers manage to achieve. I've learnt how to do them myself by using a Ghd curling wand.
