So, This French Drugstore Cleanser Was Everywhere at Fashion Week
This might sound sneaky, but one of my favourite things to do during Fashion Week is to take a covert peek inside the makeup artists' kits. As you may know, runway shows are sponsored by hair and makeup brands (and nails and skincare sometimes), which means all products used backstage should be representative of those companies. That said, off-brand items do creep in. One of these—surprise, surprise—is everyone's favourite French drugstore cleanser. Still referred to as Bioderma's Crealine (even though it's been renamed as Sensibio H2O), I spotted the cult micellar water backstage a dozen times. Whether poking out of half-hidden bags or on full display, it seems pro makeup artists are just as enamoured with the gentle, non-greasy formula as we are.
If you're yet to make friends with a micellar water, this is a good one to start with. Perfect for even the most sensitive skin, it thoroughly whisks away grime and makeup without drying or stripping. (Even Kim Kardashian West rates it.) One makeup artist I quizzed backstage said she's never without it because: "I've never, ever, had a model react to it, which is more rare than you'd think."
