Why Your Brows Could Help You Nail a Job Interview

Lisa Patulny

We all know the drill when it comes to prepping for a job interview. Understated makeup—perhaps with a subtle pop of colour if the potential position allows for it—teamed with polished hair. But what about your brows? According to an InStyle interview with makeup artist and hairstylist Abraham Sprinkle, such details are more important than you may think. "It's said that an employer sums you up in the first 30 seconds of seeing you, so putting your best face forward on a job interview is crucial," he says.

It may not make or break an interview, but if you consider the number of facial expressions you make over the course of a conversation (which all bring attention to your brows), it’s probably a good idea to give them a once-over. Sprinkle says it best: "A groomed brow is like a little black dress that never lets you down.”

For defined brows that still look natural, we like Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil ($49).
