Beauty-Obsessed Redditors Swear By This Budget Lash Extension Kit
Like all beauty obsessives, I live for an in-the-know product recommendation. Whether via 5-star ratings on Mecca Cosmetica or positive reviews on Amazon, there's nothing more exciting than discovering something previously not on my radar. (Especially when it comes with a truckload of passionate endorsements.) Another digital destination I can always rely upon for informed beauty product plugs is Reddit. A veritable black hole of intel, the beauty-related subreddits in particular make up an awe-inspiring archive that's constantly being added to. Cruising Reddit for the pros and cons of committing to lash extensions long-term, I happened across a thread devoted to a supermarket-brand lash kit. According to the author of the original post, this budget kit can create more volume and length any mascara you own. (Check the impressive side-by-side comparison, here.) The best bit? It costs less than 30 clams.

Physician's Formula Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit in Ultra Black ($30)
The best thing since strip lashes, this eye-enhancing duo comprises of a thickening mascara and separate bottle of brush-on fibres. Together, they promise the biggest lashes you've ever had sans extensions. (Albeit temporarily.) To use, apply mascara as a base, sweep the fibres on top, then lock everything in with another coat of mascara. The brand recommends repeating the process up to three times to increase length and volume to Kylie Jenner-esque proportions.
While this isn't the first lash extension kit of it's kind we've seen, this one comes with exceptional reviews—and a wallet-friendly price tag. Original poster NessaBakes praises the dramatic results, listing fallout as the only drawback: "The fibres do tend to go all over the place but I tilted my head slightly forward and used the back of my other hand to catch any fallout." We'd also suggest being very careful during application and taking your time so as to avoid getting the teensy particles stuck in your eyes. Eye infections are no joke.
