9 Cool Ways to Wear Your Hair Up, Courtesy of Hollywood
The first word you think of when you hear the word "updo" is probably not "cool." "Classic," might be more likely; "I’d never attempt one," could be another. But lately, we’ve been noticing a whole new crop of pinned-back styles worn by our favourite A-listers that are the opposite of the overly-hairsprayed styles of years past. No, these twists, buns, and braids are fresh, unique, and, yes, totally cool. Don’t believe us? We've got plenty of evidence.

When all else fails, a super-sleek low bun will always save the day. Hadid's hairstylist Jennifer Yepez used Garnier Fructis's Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum to smooth her strands for a high-shine finish.
A twisted tuck is elegant—and, more importantly, way easier than it looks. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's hairstylist curled her strands first to add body, then twisted the left and right sections of her hair away from her face, pinning as she went. To finish off the look, she took the remaining ends and twisted them up, spritzing with Moroccanoil's Luminous Hairspray ($38) for hold.
The key to a sky-high topknot? Use this expert trick, straight from Zendaya's hairstylist: secure your strands into a ponytail first, wrapping an elastic at the base. Then, curl your strands and wrap them around the elastic for a bouncy, super-voluminous ballerina bun.
