The Only Makeup Products That Matter for the Next Month, According to Us
For me, this month's beauty haul is all about distracting from the doom and gloom that's happening outside. Wind and rain are my mortal enemies, not least because, unchecked, they leave my hair and skin completely destroyed. Let's just say, I've cried over many a ruined suede shoe and leather jacket in my time. Having long learned my lesson, I now approach April with a mini umbrella and spare pair of sneakers on hand at all times. Furthermore, I tend to hibernate inside, busting out all manner of pamper-y skincare products as distraction. When I do actually have to leave home (work, etc.), I divert my own attention away from rubbish weather with a compliment-grabbing statement lip, or lots of highlighter. (My dull, autumn skin almost demands it.)
Unsurprisingly then, you'll find all manner of gorgeous things ahead, from a Caribbean-inspired cheek palette (for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley-level cheekbones) to the most luxurious Tom Ford lip product you've ever seen. Add in a premium eye cream designed to obliterate all signs of ageing, and a zingy oil that takes the heaviness out of tired legs, and April is looking up.

This feather-light translucent powder is perfect for both setting foundation and concealer, and touching up your T-zone. Even better, it'll cost you less than a movie ticket.
Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Lips in Impulse ($90)
This may look like an eyeshadow duo, but it's actually the creamiest, most gorgeous lip compact, ever. Designed to create a wearable take on the ombré lip trend, to use, paint on the darker shade, then dab the lighter hue in the middle of your top lip for dimension. Each colour is beautiful on its own so you're really getting three lipsticks in one.
Confession: I don't use a Beautyblender. Despite zillions of A+ reviews, I still can't go past my Rae Morris Radiance Brush ($100) for a flawless finish. That said, I am 3000% obsessed with one of the brand's lesser-known products, the Blotterazzi Pro. Essentially a way more effective version of blotting papers, it dabs away shine instantly. Throw one in your handbag, and you'll never look back.
Chanel Sublimage La Creme Yeux ($245)
Formulated to tackle the signs of ageing, this buttery eye cream is one of the best I've tried. Made with Chanel-specific extracts from the Madagascan vanilla planifolia plant, it smooths fine lines, reduces dark circles and nixes puffiness. Bonus: The cooling applicator wand makes application even more luxurious.
Sisley White Ginger Contouring Oil for Legs ($200)
Created for those who deal with heavy legs and swollen ankles, this viscous oil contains a cocktail of sculpting and beautifying ingredients (feat. fluid-draining gingko biloba, toning red algae and nourishing macadamia oil) for pampered pins. You'll love it if: You stand or sit all day, or travel a lot.
This product launches on April 30th.
Bobbi Brown Illuminating Cheek Palette in Guava ($85)
Inspired by the kind of sun-kissed cheeks you can only get on vacay in the Caribbean, this 3-in-1 palette contains everything you need to fake a natural flush. Brush the neutral shade over apples, add a pop of the brightest hue on top, then finish with the peachy highlighter.
Burberry Beauty Liquid Lip Velvet in Oxblood ($50)
My go-to liquid lipstick at the moment, Burberry Beauty's Liquid Lip Velvet really is everything it's cracked up to be. The perfect mid-point between creamy and matte, the formula is comfy on lips and super-long wearing. I get compliments every time I wear this dramatic shade.
Avene Physiolift Eye Contour ($65)
There are two anti-ageing eye creams in this month's lineup, which says a lot about my skin goals at the moment. (#ForeverYoung.) This French inclusion is a gentle formula that utilises vitamin A and hyaluronic acid to to refresh and plump. Great for sensitive peepers, it's active, but won't make your eyes run.
Stemm Density Stimuli ($68)
Another clever launch from the white coats at Deciem, this overnight serum is aimed at protecting the scalp and follicles. (The starting place for healthy hair.) Apply the nutrient-rich, minty-smelling gel before bed for more voluminous strands by morning. Over time, it also actually supports strong hair growth.
Benefit They're Real! Double the Lip in Criminally Coral ($36)
Great for Kondo fans, this minimalist lipstick has a coordinating liner built right in. (FYI, the liner isn't just a darker shade of lipstick, it actually has a waxier texture, to help prevent colour bleed.) After application, smack your lips together, and you'll be left with subtle definition and poutier-looking lips.
