Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion ($62)
Beyoncé’s makeup artist, Sir John, says, “I like to use SPF as the no-makeup makeup look that everyone loves. SPF contains titanium dioxide, which is light-reflective and gives this beautiful glow and natural contour. Most people don’t know sunscreen is actually one of the best highlighters (especially in pictures!).”
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer ($43)
A makeup artist from the Violet Grey beauty boutique told us that all you need for better-looking brows is concealer. Just pat product onto sparse areas to create a stronger base that will attract any gel, powder, or pomade like a magnet.
Rahua Defining Hair Spray ($63)
Lona Vigi (Selena Gomez’s hairstylist) swears by this easy tip: “Spray your hairpins and bobby pins with hair spray to give each one a bit more grip to hold a bun, twist, or braid. It’ll make it more secure.”
Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk ($14)
Vigi also suggests applying dry shampoo, even when your hair isn’t greasy. “I use so much dry shampoo. It’s great for so many things, not just covering up grease. Use it on freshly washed waves to add texture and volume, or spray it in a pony, bun, or braids to create a thicker, fuller look. But never spray it directly on your roots—always spray it in sections 8 to 10 inches [20 to 25cm] away from your scalp."
Prestige Soft Blend Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in Jet Black ($15)
Gently lift your lid and trace your waterline with a soft pencil eyeliner, making sure to fully connect it with the initial line you traced on your eye. This quick trick will make your eyes look so much more defined with really minimal effort.
RMS Beauty "Un" Cover-Up ($54)
Associate editor Victoria swears by this trick: “I smoothed a bit of concealer on the dark area around my nostrils and along my nasolabial folds … and blinked in astonishment at the reflection in the mirror. It was like finding a missing puzzle piece: I had erased all the tiredness and premature ageing from my face. It was still me, but an airbrushed, spritely looking version.”
