So, I Want to Talk About This $5 Pumpkin Mask That's About to Drop in Priceline
While natural skincare has come a long way in the last few years, there's still the misconception that you can't build an effective, targeted routine with natural products alone. Well, I'm calling BS and telling you it's completely possible to find good quality skincare that doesn't contain a bunch of the toxic stuff. Andalou Naturals is a brand doing just that. It's actually the number one natural skincare brand in the U.S. (true story), and it's coming to a Priceline near you in the next few weeks.
It boasts a fairly large product range, but my interest piqued when I encountered the Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask pod ($5). For starters, it's housed in an adorable single-use sachet made for travelling (fist pump), and contains AHA's in the form of glycolic acid (double fist pump). So, I tried, and you can keep scrolling for the result.

So, I basically popped the sachet open like it was a piece of bubble wrap and smoothed it over my face. It tingled—which is normal for any product with glycolic acid—but I probably wouldn't suggest it for overly sensitive skin (try the 1000 Roses Rosewater Mask, $5, instead). Now, the scent is how I imagine a Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced Chai Latte to smell (I've never had one), and it's pretty special. I left on for 10 minutes before rinsing with cool water. The result was smoother, cleaner skin thanks to the glycolic acid, vitamin C, and manuka honey. It actually contains fruit stem cells too (from both Swiss apples and grapes) that assist with premature ageing and protection from environmental stressors.
Science-y bits aside, it's perfect for congested, rough skin that needs a good clean out (me!). Oh, did I mention the single-use pods are only $5? So they won't put a dent in your wallet either. Andalou launches in Priceline stores this April, but if you're dying to try in the meantime, you can buy it online from Nourished Life.
